Baughurst, Ramsdell, Wolverton & Hannington - The Benefice Website
Harvest 2011

In a year's time we hope to be able to have a Harvest Festival in Hannington with a bit of a difference - but we need your help.  The idea involves thinking about harvest in a broader context and acknowledging what we glean from living where we do; what we should be thankful for and our responsibilities.  Mainly using digital photography, we want to be able to capture a year in our parish's gardens and countryside - from Harvest 2010 to Harvest 2011 - and to portray it from the perspective of different users including farmers, gardeners, walkers, bird watchers, families, cyclists and the Hunt.

The 2011 Harvest Festival would include a slide show of edited material and be followed by a picnic on Michael's Field where we hope to show the unedited material. If you have a digital camera and would like to take part in this project please contact Kath Clarke either by e-mail at katharineclarke@aol.com or on 01635 298273 by  Monday 20th September.  Kath will be able to give you further information about what is involved including the formatting and submission of photographs.

Don't worry, you don't need to be David Bailey to join in. To to make this representative of our community and countryside we need a real mix of contributors - hopefully we can achieve that!
